Position Summary

This is a full-time, FLSA Exempt position with Carson City Health & Human Services, located in Carson City, NV. Under general direction, plans, organizes, coordinates, supervises, reviews and evaluates the activities of the Environmental Health Division in regard to provision of the comprehensive Environmental Health Program, including food establishments, mobile food trucks, temporary events, cottage food, hotels/motels, permanent makeup establishments, public pools and spas, septic systems, and other programs; represents the division on a variety of matters at the federal, state, and county level; and performs related work as required.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in natural or environmental sciences or a closely related field,
• Four (4) years of professional experience performing environmental health enforcement functions in a health department or industry, two (2) years of which was in a supervisory role; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Nevada registration as an Environmental Health Specialist.
